Two floor-length washed-linen panels. Linen filters daylight into something soft rather than blocking it, which is what you want everywhere except a bedroom.

01 — The fabric
A blackout panel makes a room dark or bright with nothing in between. Linen turns direct sun into a soft even light, which is the whole reason for a curtain in a living room.
02 — The length
Curtains that stop at the sill make a window look small. Hang the rod high and let the fabric touch the floor — the room reads taller immediately.
03 — The privacy
Linen is semi-sheer. With a light on inside, shapes are visible from outside. For a bedroom, pair it with a blind behind.
