About Fornetto
Fornetto exists because good ice should not cost six hundred dollars.
The idea started the way these things usually do — with a specific annoyance. Someone in this company was driving to a fast-food place twice a week to buy bags of nugget ice, because that is the only ice worth chewing and no home freezer makes it. The machines that do make it at home existed. They just cost more than a decent laptop.
What we found
A countertop nugget ice maker is a compressor, an auger, a pump and an insulated bin. That is genuinely it. The technology settled years ago, and the factories that build the premium ones build them for several brands at once.
What differs between a $159 machine and a $579 machine is rarely the ice. It is the appliance-store margin, the distributor, the showroom floor and the marketing budget — none of which touch the thing you actually put in a glass.
How we work
We sell one machine, in four finishes, direct from a US warehouse. A short catalogue means we can order deep on a single unit and pass the difference on rather than spreading a thin margin across forty products.
Support is in-house. When something goes wrong, you write to us and we answer — there is no brand licensing its name to a factory and pointing you at a call centre.
What you get from us
- A 2-year warranty on every appliance, counted from delivery. Your order number is all we need.
- 30 days to change your mind, in the original packaging, no explanation required.
- Free shipping on the ice maker, out of the warehouse in 1–2 business days.
- A person on the other end. Write to support@fornetto-co.com and you get an answer within one business day.
What comes next
Slowly, and only when it passes the same test: does this do the job as well as the expensive one, and can we sell it for meaningfully less? If the answer to either is no, we do not add it.
