Looks expensive, one fiddly step
The blackened brass has a proper depth to it, not a spray finish. Only gripe is levelling the bar — get a second person for that bit. Once it is up it looks like something from a showroom at three times the price.

Lighting
Three ribbed-glass shades on a single blackened-brass bar. One ceiling point, one canopy, even light down the length of a counter or a dining table.
A single canopy feeds all three heads. No electrician cutting three holes.
Throws a faint texture on the ceiling and hides the bulb filament from eye level.
Each shade sets independently, from 40 to 120 cm.
Works with any standard trailing-edge dimmer.
01 — The coverage
One pendant over a two-metre island lights the middle and leaves the ends dark. Three heads spread along a bar cover the whole working surface evenly.
02 — The install
Retrofitting extra ceiling points is the expensive part of a lighting change. This fixture takes the one you already have.
03 — The height
75 to 85 cm above the counter. High enough to see across, low enough that the light lands where you are chopping.

We only had the single point over the island and it left both ends dark. This spread the light the full length without an electrician. Took about forty minutes to hang and the drop adjusts per shade, which I did not expect at this price.
