Lighting
A fluted opal-glass cylinder on an antique-brass plate. Opal glass is opaque enough that you never see the bulb, which is the whole point of a light at head height.
Fully diffused. No filament visible, no hotspot on the wall behind it.
Open at both ends, so it washes the wall in two directions instead of making one bright disc.
Comes with both a junction plate and a cord kit.
Not plated steel. It ages rather than flakes.
01 — The glass
Clear glass at eye level means you are looking at a bulb all evening. Opal diffuses completely, and the flutes catch the light so it does not read as a plain white tube.
02 — The install
Hardwire it to an existing point, or use the cord kit and a plug. Most people start plugged in and hardwire later.
03 — The pairing
A single sconce lights one spot. A pair flanking a bed, a mirror or a fireplace is what actually changes the room.
